Company Management

Owners

In 1993, Sokołów S.A. became the first company in the meat industry to be listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, thus becoming a part of the Exchange’s history. Some 13 years later, in mid August 2006, after completion of the legally required procedures, the company was withdrawn from the Exchange. It is now 100% owned by Saturn Nornic Holding AB, a holding company based in Gothenburg, Sweden, and formed by Danish Crown AmbA and HK SCAN Corporation.

The Danish Crown Group is an international manufacturer of food products, which it produces and sells all over the world. Its operations include the slaughtering of pigs (in which it is the European leader) and cattle. It is the largest exporter of meat in the world, and the largest meat processing firm in Europe. Danish Crown products are sold in many countries in all parts of the world.

HKScan is one of the leading food companies in Northern Europe with home markets in Finland, Sweden, Denmark, the Baltic countries and Poland. HKScan manufactures, sells and markets pork and beef, poultry products, processed meats and convenience foods under strong brand names. Its customers are retail, the HoReCa sector, industry and export customers. HKScan has operations in ten countries with some 11 400 employees.
