Trade and Distribution

Sokołow’s products are available throughout Poland, via all distribution channels. They are sold by chains of supermarkets and hypermarkets as well as private wholesalers. They can also be bought from the Group’s own chain of wholesale and retail outlets. Timely deliveries are assured by 44 meat warehouses and distribution centres, which receive products from all branches.

Traditional selling

       

One of the important objectives of our market strategy is to develop and improve our own distribution network, in which a key role is played by, among others, our distribution centres, shops, and own-brand stalls at large chain stores. The company currently has 42 distribution centres located in the main cities of Poland, 49 of its own shops, and 670 own-brand outlets. Besides expanding its own distribution network, SOKOŁÓW S.A. cooperates closely with private distributors (external networks), constantly developing sales in that segment

Modern selling

       

A very important and dynamically developing market is that formed by modern channels, including discount stores. SOKOŁÓW S.A. trades with practically all significant customers in this sector. The company offers products both under the Sokołów name and under its customers’ own brands.

Catering

       

SOKOŁÓW S.A. has for many years been supplying the catering (HoReCa) market, which has developed dynamically, especially in recent years. For this purpose a special Food Service Department has been formed, to deal exclusively with this channel. It offers both standard products and those produced specially for catering, including a special offer for group catering establishments.


Exports

       

Exports play a particularly important and constantly increasing role. They account for approximately a third of the company’s total sales. SOKOŁÓW S.A. exports to most European Union countries, the United States, Japan, South Korea, Russia, Hong Kong, Thailand and countries in Africa.

Distribution and Logistics

       

These tasks are carried out by local Distribution Sections and Logistics Sections located at the company’s factories. As regards transport it provides services for all departments, in particular the Sales Office, Ingredients Supplies Office, Production Department and others.

As part of this work, Fleet, Packaging and Planning specialists ensure the proper functioning of our own cars and lorries, the proper circulation of returnable packaging, as well as proper levels of stocks.
